Ujamaa Community Resource Team | Tanzania

The Ujamaa Community Resource Team (UCRT) is a leading organization in northern Tanzania working to facilitate community-based natural resource management. Working in some of East Africa’s most biologically and culturally rich landscapes, UCRT works in roughly 60 pastoralist and hunter-gatherer communities, focusing on strengthening land and natural resource rights through a range of tenure security legal instruments and community processes. They have six core programs:

  2. Land Rights

  3. Community Capacity Building

  4. Women’s Rights and Leadership Forums

  5. Education Support

  6. Advocacy
